MNQI PhD Day 2022: Seconde Edition de la Journée Doctorale 2022 du Réseau Marocain de l'Information Quantique| 09-10 Décembre 2022.

THE NETWORK

Quantum information is one of the most exciting areas of quantum physics today.  It is at the origin of considerable progress, from both theoretical and experimental points of view, to understand the quantum world. This could lead to revolutionary technological advances.  It is a new science using the laws governing the quantum world and bringing together all the disciplines combining information theory and quantum physics.  Several interesting quantum protocols were implemented to go beyond the classical ways in processing information (quantum cryptography, quantum metrology, quantum computing, communication). Quantum Information is now recognized as a specialty in its own right, having motivated the founding of new institutes, laboratories, and teams dedicated to investigation of the various facets of the information science encoded in quantum systems.

Inspired by different experiences across the world, the Moroccan Network of Quantum Information (MN-QI) was established to respond to the need to coordinate the efforts and the activities of the growing number of researchers working in the field of quantum information science in the Moroccan universities. This MN-IQ will also constitutes a bridge for the diffusion and exchange of ideas through the organization of schools and conferences. This network offers to his members the adequate scheme to collaborate efficiently and to disseminate their knowledge and expertise through training young people from undergraduates to postdoctoral fellows.

The MN-QI is a joint structure between several laboratories and research teams from seven Moroccan Universities. A total of about 100 researchers and PhD students are members of this network and participate actively in its activities.
